The Chemistry, MSc program at the University of Debrecen (UD) focuses on studying the building blocks of matter and how they react with one another. The aim of this study program is the advanced training of chemists possessing theoretical and practical knowledge in chemistry as well as satisfactory basic knowledge in related fields of science such as mathematics, physics, informatics, biology, and environmental protection. Degree holders will have the ability and practical skills to solve chemical problems arising in industrial or laboratory applications, to actively join research and development projects in different fields of chemistry, and to undertake further studies in advanced chemistry and chemical research with a sufficient degree of autonomy.
The Chemistry MSc program offers three distinct specializations: Synthetic Chemistry, which focuses on the design and construction of complex molecular structures; Analytical Chemistry, which centers on the identification and quantification of matter; and Radiochemistry, which explores the chemical properties and applications of radioactive substances.

Please note that the MSc in Chemistry operates on a double-intake academic calendar. This program starts both in September and February of each year. The application deadline in the self-financed procedure is 15th June for the September intake, and 15th November for the February intake.

The tuition fee is 7,500 USD / year for this program.
This is supplemented by the application fee of $150 USD (one-time) and the entrance procedure fee of $350 USD that covers the examination and interview. Please note that the application and entrance procedure fees are non-refundable and must be paid via bank transfer to initiate the review process.
